When my father passed away, Neptune Society referred me to Reverend Sarah because we wanted a multi-denominational funeral service.  The thing that drew me to her was her willingness to work with the family to create a memorial service that would include the many mourners of different religions, ethnicities and traditions that would be attending.

The service itself was just right for everyone who joined us to celebrate Dad’s life … Buddhist as well as many different Christian denominations.  What she did was perfect!

Afterward, everyone was talking about how beautiful the service was. Rev. Sarah has a calm, peaceful voice and presentation.  Her knowledge of the various religions and traditions was helpful in putting the service together and her quiet strength during that sad time was a comfort to us.

I lost Richard, my partner of 42 years, very suddenly from a blood clot. Needless to say I was in shock. When you suddenly lose a loved one, your life is in confusion and shock. Because of that you need someone to take your hand and walk beside you as you have to make plans for many things. The memorial service being the most immediate and important.

Fortunately, Reverend Sarah Hargrave has been one of our pastors for years. She immediately came to console me. That meant the world to me. She was very sensitive to my wishes in planning the memorial service. She has a caring heart and listens to your wishes.

Rev. Sarah Hargrave was fantastic to work with in organizing and officiating my husband’s memorial service. She was diligent to research the many aspects of his life, interviewing family members and colleagues and out of that created a wonderful program. We had requested some particular audiovisual items and the way she interpolated them into her narrative was just right.   Her service illuminated his life in a way that made people feel like they knew him or wished they knew him better.
